Norfolk Wrentham Youth Basketball is a professionally coached program specifically geared toward the new, developing, and advancing elementary school player in grades K-6. Our philosophy is to teach players the FUNdamentals of the game in a caring and fun manner with trained, professional coaches with support from the King Philip Varsity players.
We had a great year last year with Professional Coaches Brynne Bontempo, Randi Casey, and Joe DiCruttallo along with KP's Marty Crowley-we are very excited that they will be returning this season!
Each year, players improve their skills and the program changes to accommodate their new skill levels. Our goal is to give players an excellent foundation and experience to enjoy the game at all levels while emphasizing team work and sportsmanship. Boys and girls play on separate teams.

Norfolk-Wrentham Youth Basketball started 10 years ago as Norfolk Youth Basketball. Norfolk resident and then Varsity Basketball Coach for Weston, Sean McInnis teamed up with Ann Proto to create a league that brought the fundamentals of basketball to the young player in a caring manner with trained professional coaches and the support of varsity high school players. Sean's vision was instrumental in the development of this league and he spent years of Saturday mornings coaching for NYB and NWYB. Ann Proto took on the administrative role and, combined, they started a successful instructional basketball league that welcomed more than 350 players each year. In 2011, NYB began a relationship with the Celtics to offer Celtics nights where participants, the King Philip Players, and friends and family are offered group Celtics tickets along with the opportunity to visit the Parquet floor!
NYB always welcomed players from all towns and, in 2012, formally and gladly welcomed Wrentham players and the support of Wrentham Recreation and hence became Norfolk-Wrentham Youth Basketball.
